Brooch Tree by the lake

This delicated brooch is needle felted from merino wool. 

"The Tree by the Lake" brooch was a part of the series "Inspiration Is Here" and was created after my research of the works by Nicolas Roerich. He was born in Russia, moved to Europe and then USA after the revolution in 1917. He created numerous spiritual painting after his trips to China, Tibet, India. He was the founder of a "Roerich Pact" - the document requesting special protection for the art and culture heritage sites and collectons during wars.
